Your life has purpose in every season!

Happily Single!

While dating and marriage may be in your future, maybe right now you are desiring to remain single! There’s nothing wrong with this! The Lord has purpose for us in every season. As you enjoy this time of singlehood, here are some resources to help you pursue God faithfully in this season!

Ready to Mingle!

While you recognize your singlehood is a gift from God, maybe now you’re ready to get serious about searching for a godly partner. We’re excited for you to go on this journey! As you pursue a romantic relationship, here are some resources to help you make God-honoring dating decisions.

Here are 8 steps to take if you are single and looking to be in a relationship!

Prepare

Invest in becoming the best version of yourself.

Once you get married, you have the title of husband or wife. But just because you have the title doesn't mean you have the qualities to back it up. God wants us to prepare for dating and ultimately marriage by becoming the best version of ourselves while single!

Position

Be in the area of what you are looking for.

The quality of your catch has a lot to do with where you cast your net. Don't go looking for a partner in a place where you are unlikely to find the kind of partner you want.

Pray

Pray specific prayers because they honor God.

We often underestimate the value of prayer in this area of dating. Prayer will not just to help you find the person, but it will help you close your eyes to the wrong person. So, before you pursue, pray. Pray specifically and intentionally.

Identify

Physical attraction can spark your curiosity, but character should determine your interest.

Physical attraction is an emotional response. Emotions are good consultants, but they should never be in charge because they don’t make the most informed decisions.

Engage

The friend-zone is full of people who had bigger aspirations but did nothing about it. Don’t be one of them.

Don't be afraid to make a move! The only way to take the next step in your relationship with someone is by engaging with them intentionally.

Observe

Observing keeps you from being blinded by initial perception.

The intentional observation of a person helps you grow in love and not fall in love. Counterfeit money is often mixed in with the real stuff. f you don’t observe, you can’t tell what’s counterfeit and real.

Make It Known

Be clear about expectations and intentions.

If your intention is to one day be married, your dating relationships must reflect that. If you are ready to take a next step in your dating relationship and set it on a course for marriage, you must make these intentions known.

Meet The Family

God works through families, and so does the enemy.

A person's family should not be the highest contributing factor to your relationship. However, you do need to be aware of where your partner is coming from. Meeting the family helps you understand all the dynamics at play.

Wait patiently as God orchestrates faithfully.

God has a plan and a strategy for every area of your life, including romantic relationships.
