Our senior pastors, Michael and Elaine Shreve, have shared the exciting vision of taking the message of “One More” beyond the walls of Mountain West Church. In the end of 2021 they will transition out of being the lead pastors of Mountain West and take on the new role to become directors of Word for the World, a church planting organization in the Philippines. Their God-ordained new mission is to train pastors to plant hundreds of hope-filled, life giving churches like Mountain West all throughout South East Asia.  Watch this video message from Pastor Michael to hear more on this and what God has in store for Mountain West Church and the Shreve Family.

Next Steps for Mountain West

Pastor Michael and Elaine Shreve have faithfully been the lead pastors at Mountain West church for the past 15 years. Each one of those 15 years the church has experienced growth: from thousands of new people coming to Christ and the church growing in weekly attendance from 150 people to an average of 1500 people. Also, the church has grown in financial strength every one of those 15 years and has been able to give to local and international organizations in supporting relief efforts, missionaries, and church planting all across the globe. Their vision of “As long as there is One More person who needs the love of Christ, our mission is not complete” has set the course for the last 15 years- everything Mountain West does is in order to find and share God’s love with One More of his lost children. Mountain West has been, and will always be, a place where anyone who needs the love of Christ will be loved and given hope.

Mountain West Church is a part of the Church of God denomination. The Church of God will work alongside our church council to help find a candidate for the next senior pastor of Mountain West Church. The church council will work with the leaders of our denomination to find a candidate who reflects our values, honors our cultural diversity, and leads the church faithfully forward.
